Mission Statement

The Town of North Greenbush Industrial Development Agency (NGIDA) was established as a public benefit corporation of the State for the benefit of the Town.  The mission of the NGIDA shall be to promote, develop, encourage and assist in the acquiring, constructing, reconstructing, improving, maintaining, equipping and furnishing of industrial, manufacturing, warehousing, commercial, research and recreation facilities, including certain defined facilities, within the Town of North Greenbush.  The NGIDA will advance the job opportunities, health and safety, general prosperity and economic welfare for the benefit of the community.


Enabling Statute

On July 15, 1981 the Town of North Greenbush Industrial Development Agency was established by special act of the Legislature of the State of New York, Chapter 526 of the Laws of 1981, and pursuant to subsection 1a of section 856 of the General Municipal Law was certified by the Town Board of the Town of North Greenbush, Rensselaer County, New York on October 8, 1981.
